Case studies

Home Service Marketing Case Studies

This page holds two different kinds of content. Reported results from client engagements list the industry, the service behind the result and the channels that produced it, and are published as reported until each write-up carries its baseline, period and evidence. Modeled industry scenarios are a separate type: illustrative examples of how the growth system could be structured for a trade, labelled as modeled throughout and never presented as client results.

Two content types on this page

Evidence

Real client engagements

Work delivered for clients, published in the units it was measured in. Each figure is labelled as a reported result until it carries its baseline, period, source system and supporting evidence.

Modeled industry scenarios

Examples of how the growth system could be structured for a trade, using assumptions that are labelled as assumptions. They are not client engagements, not benchmarks, and not expected performance.

Amber marker · no client result inside

Real client engagements

Engagements delivered for clients. None of them currently publishes a headline figure: each is held back until the client has approved it and its baseline, period and source system are recorded.

Modeled industry scenarios

A separate content type. These are modeled examples showing how the Gorilla Growth Engine could be structured for a trade, using clearly labelled illustrative assumptions. They are not client engagements and no figure inside one describes work delivered for a client.

How the client results were produced

Each result came from a different mix of channels, but the sequence behind them was the same: find where the profitable customers already are, reach them where they are looking, answer every lead quickly, then measure to the booked job.

  • Start with the customer data, not the channel

Segments built from real customers determine who the campaign should reach.

  • Fix response before adding spend

Fast follow-up raises conversion on the leads you already pay for, before budget increases.

  • Report to the booked job

Cost per booked job is the number that decides where the next dollar goes.

About the figures on this page

No engagement on this page currently publishes a headline figure. A figure appears here only once it has been documented, which means it carries its baseline, period, source system and written client approval. Until then it stays off the page rather than being published with a caveat.

Return on ad spend is treated with particular care, because it is the most easily overstated number in this industry. A multiple supplied by the client is published as a client-reported result, never as a verified one, and it is upgraded to a documented result once the spend it was calculated against, the revenue basis behind it and the attribution method are recorded.

Modeled industry scenarios are a separate content type. Each one carries its label and its disclosure in the page content, above the first figure, and every figure inside it is marked as modeled, illustrative or an example. They are education rather than evidence, and they are not presented as client results, industry benchmarks or expected performance.

We also work from the assumption that a result without its starting point is not a result. Before a figure is upgraded to a documented case study it needs a baseline for the same measure, a stated period, the system that recorded both, and written client approval for anything involving spend, revenue or a quote.
