Who we are and what this covers
C&C Gorilla Marketing ("Gorilla", "we", "us") is a growth marketing and customer acquisition company that works with home-service businesses. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through ccgorilla.com, through enquiries and calls that come to us, and through the services we provide.
It does not cover the practices of third-party websites, advertising platforms or tools we link to or work with. Those are governed by their own privacy policies.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you submit the contact form or call the number on this site, we collect what you provide. That is typically your name, email address, phone number, business name, the service you are interested in, and your message.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you view, how long you stay, the source that referred you, and any campaign parameters in the link you arrived on.
- Call information: calls to the number on this site are routed through call tracking, which records the date, time, duration and the page or campaign that produced the call. Calls may be recorded.
- Client engagement data: when we deliver services, clients give us access to customer, CRM, advertising, website and call data. That information belongs to the client.
- Supplier and recruitment information: if you approach us as a supplier or applicant, we hold what you send us.
How we use information
- Respond to enquiries and arrange calls
- Deliver, operate and improve the services we have been engaged for, including campaign setup, audience building, attribution and reporting
- Measure which marketing activity produced which enquiry, appointment and job
- Send service updates and, where you have asked for them, marketing communications
- Keep records, invoice, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
- Protect this site and our systems against misuse, and detect and prevent fraud
- Produce aggregated or de-identified reporting that cannot reasonably be used to identify you
Cookies and similar technologies
This site and the advertising platforms we use set cookies and similar identifiers for analytics and advertising measurement. They show which pages and campaigns lead to enquiries and, on platforms such as Google and Meta, allow audiences to be built and conversions to be attributed.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can limit personalised advertising through the ad platforms' own settings. Nothing on this site stops working if you do, but the measurement behind the marketing becomes less accurate.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with the providers and platforms needed to run this site and deliver our services.
- Service providers: hosting, email and SMS delivery, call tracking, analytics, CRM and reporting providers, under contracts that limit their use of the data to the service they provide.
- Advertising platforms: Google, Meta and similar platforms, where campaigns and measurement require it.
- Client instructions: where a client has engaged us, we handle their customer data on their documented instructions.
- Legal reasons: where the law requires it, or where we need to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
- Business transfer: if the business is sold or merged, information may transfer as part of it, on the terms of this policy.
- With your direction: any other sharing you ask us to make.
When we handle data for a client
Most of the customer data we touch belongs to a client. In that work we act on the client's instructions and the terms of our agreement with them. The client is the party responsible for that data and for the notices given to their customers.
If you are a customer of one of our clients and want to access, correct or delete your information, contact that business first. We will help them respond, but we cannot act on the request directly without their instruction.
Calls, text messages and email
Calls to the number on this site may be recorded, for quality and to connect an enquiry to the campaign that produced it.
If you give us your mobile number and agree to text messages, we may send service messages and, where you have agreed to it, marketing messages. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts, or use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Opting out of marketing does not stop messages about an active engagement.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiry information for as long as we need it to respond and to manage whatever relationship follows, and client information for the term of the engagement plus whatever period our agreements and applicable law require. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
How we protect information
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards intended to protect information against loss and unauthorised access, including access controls and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you and how it is used, to ask for a copy, to have inaccurate information corrected, to ask us to delete it, and to opt out of marketing at any time.
California residents have these rights under the CCPA and CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by that law. To make a request, email info@ccgorilla.com. We will verify the request and respond within the period the applicable law allows. An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf with written permission.
Children's privacy
This site and our services are for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If the way we handle information changes, this policy changes with it. The date at the top shows the current version, and material changes will be described on this page.
